A vintage whodunnit by Michael Gilbert set in a prisoner of war camp in Italy during WW2, first published in 1952.

A WWII Locked-Room Mystery set in an Italian prisoner-of-war camp during World War II. A prisoner thought to be an informer is found dead in a tunnel the prisoners had been digging to escape. It looks like murder, though how it could possibly have been done is a mystery.
