The Subscribe Now Edition

Colin and Noah here. Since the beginning of WITI, we’ve experimented with everything from classifieds to having brands sponsor to underwrite the publication. 

Today, we are going to start a more formalized paid subscriber push. Wednesdays will be paywalled and we will have a dedicated weekend send for subscribers. 

For five years (!) we've published 4-5 times per week from a wide range of voices and topics ranging from J. Peterman, to Go Bags, to the physics of F1 to the Emergency Backup Goalie (EBUG).

Going forward, we want to be more expansive in our thinking of what WITI can be: think live events in multiple markets, one-off interesting experiences (e.g. a listening night in a loft hosted by one of the best high-end audiophile makers), and generally trying to enlarge the scope of interestingness we are putting out into the world. 

We will also continue improving the editorial product that you’ve come to enjoy. The first step happened earlier this year when we enlisted the expertise of editor Louis Cheslaw to elevate our copy. Louis has helped streamline everything for us in addition to making sure every edition is top notch. Part of this paid push is expanding his role to help in develop the dedicated weekend send for paying members. 

WITI has been a generative journey for us. More subscribers means the ability to underwrite more experimentation and chase our curiosity where it leads. We would love your support.
